Friday Five #2

Haven't done one of these in forever. I blame it on disappearing, finishing the vampire proposal last month.

1. Who’s your favorite of Looney Tunes characters?

Do I have to pick one? Honestly, I've never been a fan of Looney Tunes. I watched it when I was a kid, but it just never did anything for me. If I have to pick one, I'm going with Coyote. He's a perfect example of determination since he's always going after the Road Runner and always failing.

2. What have you done too much of lately?

Move crap around in my apartment. I keep talking about how I need to get rid of said crap, but I never have the motivation to do so. Never mind the fact that the crap liquidation has to be done in, ummm, four months. Do other people constantly move around their crap in their house/apartment/condo/townhome/insert living dwelling here. I don't know if I have too much crap or the storage space sucks in my apartment. I'll go with the latter... just because I haven't bitched about my apartment or the area in a long time.

That said... as of July 31... three months until I give my landlord my 60-day notice! Awwwwwww, yeah.

3. When did you last play cards?

Earlier this year during one of Jeff's visits. It was back when I was rabid over Poker After Dark. He tried teaching me poker.

4. Where were your keys the last time you couldn’t find them?

Ummm... I don't know. Really. I thought maybe Tom had them. It was back during my Stephanuary 'Tini Tuesday trip to Chambers--restaurant in Cincinnati where they had $2 martinis every Tuesday. I had like, umm, four of them. Wound up throwing up like two times before I got home. Tom helped me inside. The next day, when I could function again, couldn't find my keys. Called Tom up at work; he didn't have them. (Yeah, I know, it was a crazy idea that he *could* have them.) I ended up finding them--obviously or I'd still be stuck inside the apartment--but I don't know where.

5. Why didn’t you do today everything you were supposed to?

Because I was going to finish Day 1 of First Draft in 30 Days for the Grant and Lauren story if I had to pull an all-nighter to do so! And it wasn't like Day 1 was anything complicated. Just character worksheets. But God... I *hate* character worksheets.

Friday Five #1

(Questions from Friday5.org)

1. If you get the first choice of Monopoly tokens, which do you choose?

Definitely always the dog.

If someone else chooses it first, which is your second choice?

When I played it when I was a kid, it got to the point where everyone would avoid taking the dog. But those rare times when I didn't get the dog... I'm not sure. I want to say it was the top hat or the wheelbarrow.

2. What’s a board game you are especially bad at?

Maybe Operation. Again, when I was little, I was always nervous at playing it because the loud buzzing sound freaked me out.

3. What board game are you particularly good at?

Trivia Pursuit... but that could be because of it being the Young Player's Edition. :) And I have a Disney card add-on set. I'm all about stacking the odds in my favor.

4. How competitive do you get while playing board games or party games?

Depends on the game and who I'm playing with or against.

5. What’s your favorite board game?

Life! I haven't played it in years--I don't even know where my Life's at--but when I was a kid... I always loved rooting for a decent career, and stopping at the church to get married, and trying to fill my car up with kids.

What’s a board game you can’t stand?

Battleship? Probably Battleship. I've never actually played it, but I can't see how that can be any fun. And, yeah, I wouldn't consider it a board game either.
